Seeking work at home business. Retired and seeking a work at home business to start. Live in North Wales PA.?

by Jack on March 15, 2010

I have looked and even lost money trying to start a work at home business. Do anyone have any ideas or know of any work at home businesses for a retired older man. A small fee to start my business isn’t a problem as long as the company is legit.

I am very weary of any site that asks for money to start up…I’ve been through way too many scams to do all that again. I finally found a place that works for me and its easy and free!

I made some extra money just by taking a few surveys. Although it may seem like a scam, this is actually for real. I like to think realistically, so you may not make millions by doing this, but you definately earn for the amount of work you put in. And, you can put anywhere from just a few minutes a day to 40 hours a week into it. Did I mention there is no startup costs??

Here’s the site: http://xil.in/checkitout/

Good luck! Let me know if you need any help.

I would suggest my business, as I do have several men working there business and doing quite well.

Remember there is always going to be some sort of small fee to get you going. Thats is the nature of the beast. There are a lot of online surveys that pay. Try those, ask question before you go further, you can tell if they are right for you.

Thanks.

Hello Quest 224,
I have been in the same boat as you trying to make money at home, and I have lost money too. There are so many scams that it is hard to distinguish. If you have been able to retire, then I know that you must have great knowledge about something. You could start your own web-site based upon something you truly enjoy, or are passionate about. I love chocolate, so that is what my site is about.

Here is a link to an informative site about SBI. I am not trying to sell to you, but I think it may help you out. I know it has been a great benefit to me. It is not get rich quick, and is hardwork. So, if you are willing to work hard and build your own business this may fit into your lifestyle.

I hope this information helps you! I wish you the best. If you have any questions you are welcome to contact me.

Good Luck! I hope you find what you are looking for!

Sincerely,
Genesee

I suggest you look into affiliate marketing which is basically advertising and selling other peoples products in return for a commission. It’s relatively inexpensive considering starting a blog and signing up for a Clickbank (affiliate marketing) account are fee. From Clickbank you can search and choose which products to promote based on what you like. All you have to do then is figure out how to get people to your site. All in all the Working from Home program has been my most consistant passive income producer out of all the business ventures that I’m involved in. Other than that I’d have to say that selling things on Ebay is probably a close second in making extra cash.

I see you received a lot of answers so I will keep this short yet hopefully helpful! I was once searching for the same thing. I spent TONS of time researching (and trying) home based businesses. There is a lot of junk out there so I know this can be a frustrating search. Email me for info I think will help you.

There are a lot of home based businesses that give you an incredible opportunity to make a sufficient amount of money. However, they are businesses not jobs. You can’t just “try” a business. You have to really work at it and build it to make it a successful business. Putting in time and effort into it. Trying it, is just setting yourself up for failure.
My husband and I have had our own home based business for over six years now. It’s been an incredible adventure. We didn’t “try” it, we worked it. Home based businesses are not hard to do. They’re pretty simple, just requires time and effort and learning the industry that your in.
My husband and I collaborated with a company that has product and service that is and always will be in high demand. There are a lot of products and services out there that are good. We decided to partner up with this company because it was things that people will always use and pay for anyway, pretty much no matter what. We didn’t have to worry if money became tight that they could easily run to the store and purchase on sale or be able to buy it at the dollar store. So, we got involved in the world’s largest direct selling telecommunications service provider that was started back in 1993. It’s now a 15 year old, world wide international company. With headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Charlotte, Amsterdam, Sydney and Montreal. They have been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company in revenue in it’s first five years. They market in services people use every day and pay for anyway, like I had said. Services like Local and Long Distance telephones, Internet, Digital, video phones, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell, Altell etc as well. We save people money and make money at the same time. Every single month these people pay their bills, we make a percentage over and over again each month. That’s just one way you get paid in this industry.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? . A lot of money involved in this industry.
I also created a blog on my yahoo 360 page on home based business opportunities. There are over half a dozen different opportunities from different industries. It also has a lot of information about the scams, BBB, different blogs and what you need to do to succeed in your home based business. Things you should know about home based businesses etc. Here’s the URL to my Yahoo page blog:
